Uniformity and unity typify the interior design of this split-level home. The entire project is built around a well considered material combination consisting of wood in combination with lacquered walls. The wood forms a highlight in both the kitchen island and in the kitchen cupboard wall. That wall exceeds its function and, thanks to a wooden cover for the storage area, becomes part of a box which is slid into the home. The door to the storage area is integrated into the wooden wall surface. In the entrance hall the wooden structure accommodates the cloakroom.  

Subtle details

For those with an eye for detail note how the position of the island is lined up with the line of view from the entrance hall and the open space above the dining area. The finish of the wooden cupboard elements is particularly refined with mitred edges, the joints highlighted with wenge, and the cupboards with no handles. Other details such as the incorporated curtain rails and indirect lighting above the wardrobes typify the subtle interior design. 

Near the kitchen, the staircase to the next level issues into the view and walking line from the front door to the rear facade. This staircase revolves around a lift core, which means that people can move comfortably to this level.
