The living spaces and bedrooms are open to the green surroundings to the maximum. The landscape serves, as it were, as a painting on the glazed facades. An integrated covered terrace forms the link between the outdoor space and the living spaces.
In stark contrast with the scenic involvement in the back garden, the residence is closed off from the street via a pivoting gate that blends in completely with the black facade area. The glazed side facade mirrors the neighbouring house.
Connective cabinet wall
The entry section behind the pivoting gate provides a view of a patio garden that is linked to the waiting room. The internal division of space is done mainly with cabinets. The cloakroom, kitchen cabinets and eating counter form one whole in which the doors to the storage area and garage have been discreetly integrated.
Overhead light
Skylights provide a special effect: the transparent bathroom enjoys an abundance of light, thanks to the overhead lighting. Above the kitchen island there is a similar skylight.
Wood accents offset the desired black-white contrast. In one of the wood accents, the end of the bed extends as a desk, providing a hotel-room atmosphere.
