A special feature of the architectural design of this home is a pond which virtually embraces the home in full on the eastern side. The water largely creates the atmosphere, from the patio in the front garden, along most of the side garden, to the back garden. The views of the water bring peace and quiet, whilst the spread of light yields exciting scenes in the interior. 

The frequently applied wood also draws natural beauty indoors and, thanks to the well considered applications, brings some warm highlights into the interior. The interior is a patch of black and white with wood, deployed both functionally and aesthetically. For instance, the plinth of the hearth furniture and the partitions between the sitting room and the office and between the dining room and kitchen are in wood. A cupboard wall and a section of the island in the kitchen are also designed in this warm material. The shining sun or the indirect artificial light literally and figuratively highlight the character of the wood.
