The challenge with this design was to create extra space in a 55 m2 apartment. There is a sleeping space near the entrance hall and living space next to a fully-glassed terrace. A curved wooden wall creates an additional visual experience in the entrance hall. The undulating wall integrates a door with access to the sleeping quarter. The free space between the wall and the ceiling guides daylight deep into the entrance hall and the bedroom. A black ceiling provides a sense of security and visually links certain functions with the entrance hall. And a sliding wooden panel delineates the living and sleeping space.
