Privacy forms the silver thread running through this design. A garden wall in the extension of the closed front aspect provides a buffer between the public domain and the private space. The garden wall in brick facing creates a patio. Between the black covered front facade and the garden wall, an opening accentuates the path to the front door. The designer used a roof to create a protected entrance area.

The residence opens up to both the patio and to the garden behind the residence.
